.Bank to implement Public Suffix Domain DMARC

fTLD Registry Services’ (fTLD) domains, .Bank and .Insurance, will be the first non-governmental Top-Level Domains (TLDs) to implement Public Suffix Domain (PSD) DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance). While fTLD domains in the .Bank and .Insurance zones have always been required to implement DMARC (see more about this Security Requirement here), this new security feature covers all .Bank and .Insurance domains when it is added.

The availability of PSD DMARC follows a multi-year standards development process by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) that resulted in publication of RFC 9091. Subsequent to this, fTLD received approval from the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers to implement PSD DMARC.

Please read the PSD DMARC FAQ to understand what this means for .Bank and .Insurance domains starting on November 15, 2023.
